Potential energy surfaces and fission fragment mass yields of even-even superheavy nuclei *

Potential energy surfaces and fission barriers of superheavy nuclei are analyzed in the macroscopic-microscopic model. The Lublin-Strasbourg Drop (LSD) is used to obtain macroscopic part energy, whereas shell pairing corrections evaluated using Yukawa-folded potential. A standard flooding technique has been determine barrier heights. It was shown Fourier shape parametrization containing only three deformation parameters reproduces well nuclear shapes on their way fission. In addition, non-axial degree freedom taken into account describe better form around ground state saddles region. Apart from symmetric valley, a new very asymmetric mode predicted most nuclei. fragment mass distributions considered obtained by solving 3D Langevin equations.
